The peaceful development of cross strait relations, and the final reunification of the two sides, to some extend,is the institutionalization of cross strait relations. Institutionalization is the inevitable choice of peaceful development of cross strait relations. It rooted among strong demand of cross strait exchanges. The institutionalization of cross strait relations is the means, period, and results. Under the background of peaceful development of cross strait relations, the institutionalization faces many challenges and opportunities.%两岸关系的和平发展与最终实现完全统一的过程,在某种程度上就是两岸关系不断实现机制化,最终形成各方都能够接受的机制性安排的过程.机制化是两岸关系和平发展的必然选择,源于两岸交流交往的强大需求,建立在对增进共同利益的认知和化解利益分歧的需求基础之上.两岸关系机制化既是一种手段、一种过程,也是一种结果.在和平发展的大背景下,两岸关系机制化虽然还会遭遇到一些挑战,但也面临着新的历史机遇.
