小波变换在医学图像压缩中的应用

摘要

The paper analyzes the necessity of the image compression , introduces 2D discrete wavelet transform and Mallat algo-rithm;it focuses on the principle of wavelet transform and its application in medical image compression .The experiment results show that the higher compression-radio and better recovery image can be expected with this algorithm .The selecting for different wavelet compressed images obtains different compression ratio , in the same wavelet series , the compression ratio will be decreased with increas-ing the number of wavelet .%分析了医学图像压缩的必要性，简要介绍了二维离散小波变换和Mallat算法，重点讨论小波变换的原理及其在医学图像压缩方面的具体应用，实验结果表明，小波变换算法具有较高的压缩比和较好的图像恢复质量，选用不同的小波基压缩图像得到的压缩比不同，在同一小波系列内，压缩比随小波序数的增大而减小。
