The paper describes the subsidence observation and horizontal displacement detection in architectural engineering, and specifically illustrates several points, such as detecting instrument, detecting point layout, detecting methods and cycle, internal works＇ calculation and data collection, with a view to guide practice and to ensure smooth engineering construction.%对建筑工程中沉降观测和水平位移监测进行了阐述，分别将监测仪器、观测点布设、观测方法及周期、内业计算及资料成果整理作了详细说明，以此来指导实践，确保工程施工顺利进行。
