During radar multi-pulse observation, a high-speed extended target is apt to walk through one or more range cells, and hence traditional detection methods can't effectively detect the target. For this problem, a multi-pulse extended target detector based on the Keystone transform is proposed, and the analytic expressions for its theoretical optimal detection performance are deduced. Then the detection performance with and without the Keystone transform and the theoretical optimal detection performance based on the Keystone transform are comparatively studied, and the influence of the target's radial scale and speed on the processing gain of the Keystone transform is analyzed. The results indicate that, for a high-speed target with few strong scattering cells, the detection performance can be remarkably improved by the Keystone transform.%高速扩展目标在雷达多脉冲观测期间容易发生跨距离单元走动,由此导致常规的检测方法不能有效检测目标.
