Objective To investigate the expression of nuclear matrix combining area binding protein 1 ( SATB -1 ) in gastric cancer tissues and the relationship between the expression and clinicopathologic characteristics .Methods The expression of SATB-1 in 97 samples of gastric cancer tissue and 20 samples of tissue adjacent to carcinoma were measured by using Envision method of immuno -histochemistry .Spearman analysis was used to explore the relationship between the expression and clinicopathologic characteristics .Re-sults The positive rate of SATB1 protein expression in the cancer tissue was 60%that was higher than that of tissue adjacent to carci-noma (10%)(P<0.05).The positive rate of SATB1 expression in gastric cancer was significantly associated with lymph node metas-tasis,tumor infiltration depth and clinical TNM stage (P <0.05),but not associated with age,gender and tumor size (P >0.05). Conclusion The high expression of SATB1 in gastric cancer tissue indicates the high gastric malignant degree and late clinical stage with a potential lymph node metastasis and poor prognosis .Therefore,detection of SATB1 expression can be used as a novel marker for screening the risk of gastric cancer metastasis ,making the treatment plan and predicting the prognosis .%目的:检测胃癌组织中核基质结合区结合蛋白质1(special AT-rich sequence-binding protein 1,SATB-1)与临床病理特征的相关性。方法应用免疫组织化学Envision 法检测97例胃癌患者和20例癌旁组织中SATB1蛋白的表达,应用Spearman法分析其与临床病例特征的相关性。结果胃癌组织中SATB1蛋白表达阳性率为60%,高于癌旁组织10%,差异有统计学意义( P<0.05)。 SATB1蛋白在胃癌中的阳性表达率与淋巴结转移,肿瘤浸润深度和临床TNM分期密切相关( P<0.05),与年龄、性别、肿块大小无显著相关性( P>0.05)。结论 SATB1在胃癌组织中的高表达预示胃癌恶性程度高,临床分期晚,可能存在淋巴结转移,预后不良,因此检测SATB1表达可作为临床筛选胃癌高危转移者、制定治疗方案和判断预后的一个新指标。
