The structure of the products was characterized by FT-IR,13 C-NMR and elemental analysis. The effect of molar ratio of monomers on the content of mono-substituted products was discussed. The results showed that content of mono-substituted products could be increased significantly when the molar ratio of ethylenediamine to 1,4-butane sultone was 6. 0.
