The United Kingdom is the first country in history that establishes the constitutional monarchy,and Britain has never changed this political system since it was set up in 1689.The constitutional monarchy once helped Britain become the most powerful country in the world.However,in spite of the long existence of the constitutional monarchy and the huge benefit it has brought to the United Kingdom,some people are now arguing that the constitutional monarchy should be abolished.This paper will review the history of British constitutional monarchy,analyze the necessity of this political system,and finally make a preliminary prediction about the future of British constitutional monarchy.
