“花园城市”运动已有百年历史。它在中国产生了影响，高楼林立的深圳获得“花园城市”称号，说明花园城市具有多种模式。让多数城市居民家庭有一个私家花园，仍然是新世纪家园追求的目标。中国地少人多，T0wn house具有比较省地、安全、独户独院等优点，适合在中国城郊兴建。%The Garden City movement which started 100 years ago has influenced China. Shenzhen,a city withmany high-rise buildings, was honored as “the Garden City” in 2000,which means that there are various types of garden cities in the world. But providing each family with a garden is still our pursuit in the new century. There' s a large amount of population in China, while less land is available. Town house is appropriate to be built in the suburban areas in China because it is more efficient in landuse, and it provides more safety as well as a garden for each family.
