Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome was first described in ancient times.It is the result of a three-way interaction between the sleep/wake state-specific mechanisms of respiratory control.The interfacing of these mechanisms during the change of sleeping stages,and the physiological properties of the head and neck.%阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停综合征在古代就有描述，它的发生与睡眠和清醒状态交界时及睡眠的各个阶段相互转换时呼吸控制中枢的作用有关，并与头颈部的生理异常相关。
