The southern district E of Xishimen iron mine is gently inclined and medium thick orebody. In the deep mining,the dip angle and the thickness decrease and the unstable floor rock becomes thick. Sublevel caving is still in application, so there are some critical problems,such as single level mining and great loss of residual ore. According to the occurrence and the stability of rock mass,an improved gublevel caving scheme that loading in trench and ore drawing in drift is purposed in this paper. The results show that the new scheme meets conditions of rocks well and mining is safe and efficient%西石门铁矿南Ⅱ区为缓倾斜中厚矿体,进入深部开采后,矿体进一步变缓变薄,而且底板不稳岩层进一步增厚,矿山沿用无底柱分段崩落法开采,生产中出现单分段回采与残矿损失大等突出问题.本研究根据矿岩产状及稳固性特征,提出了堑沟落矿与进路退采出矿相结合的无底柱分段崩落法改进方案.研究表明,这一改进方案能较好的适应矿岩条件,可实现矿山安全高效的开采目标.
