Tpeak-Tend ( Tp-Te)interval is a newly identified predicator for cardiac sudden death. The underlying electrophysiological mechanisms remain less understood. It has been reported that Tp-Te interval can be used to quantify the transmural diapersion of repolarization , whereas the increased transmural dispersion of repolarization underlies the occurrence of malignant ventricular arrhythmias. Therefore , Tp-Te interval can be predictive of the occurrence of malignant ventricular arrhythmias.
