In addition,miR-101 may have a certain correlation with diabetes and the function of endothelial cells .The upregulation of miR-101 with gestational diabetes mellitus or high glucose concentration in human umbilical vein endothelial cells impairs the function of endothelial cells .MiR-101 can deregulate the expression of adenosine triphosphate-binding membrane cassette transporter A1 involving in the lipid metabolism ,and play a role in the pathogenesis of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease andatherosclerosis .
