摘要

In order to fulfill the needs for computational speedand capacities, which is incurred in large-scale BEM problem, a PCcluster system is set up based on Linux system and PVM parallelplatform. Practical large-scale BEM problems are carried out on thecluster system. The results show the effectiveness and the efficiency ofthe cluster system.%在普通实验室条件下使用 Linux系统和 PVM平台，通过局域网建立了一个使用灵活、扩展性强、成本低廉的网络集群并行计算环境. 满足了大规模边界元法计算对存储规模和计算速度的要求. 使用户只用很小的投资，就能充分利用现有的计算资源，成倍提高计算能力.
