Strain Engineering in Light-Harvesting Materials

         

摘要

Nanoscale interfaces play a pivotal role in determining materials properties.Heterostructures created from nanoscale building blocks may tolerate more defects and strain compared to their bulk counterparts,leading to significant changes in electronic and optical properties.In this study,first-principles calculations were employed to examine how strain affects the electronic band gap of cadmium telluride/cadmium selenide core-shell nanowires.
