〔Abstract〕The report of Libraries at the Crossroads is published by the Pew Research Center in America on September 15,2015. This report mainly surveys that the usage situation of the public library, different opinions about if libraries are important to communities, different views on present public libraries’ services, and different social groups’ needs and expectations about multiple services in public libraries. Results show that the American public is interested in new services and thinks libraries are important communities. This paper analyzes the present situation and multiple needs of the library service based on these ifndings above, especially analyzes the service need of different race and income groups, thus providing references to some researches about the recreation and improvement of the user service in public libraries.%美国皮尤研究中心在2015年9月15日公布了《图书馆正面临艰难抉择》报告，该报告主要针对当前美国不同社会群体的公共图书馆访问量，及其对公共图书馆服务的重要性认识、公共图书馆服务现状满意度和不同社会群体对公共图书馆多元化服务的需求与期望进行了调查，结果表明美国公众对公共图书馆的创新服务感兴趣并认为图书馆在社区中仍然占有重要地位。基于以上调查结果研究当前美国公共图书馆用户服务现状和多元化需求，尤其是不同种族和不同收入群体的公共图书馆服务需求，从而为公共图书馆的用户服务创新和发展提供参考。
