Recently,the square dance is a popular leisure activity which spontaneously spring up all over the masses,especially favored by the middle-aged and old woman. Now it’s became the most favored spare time in china with the vast crowds of participants have been amused. In the same time, the local authority have encounter some problems while delivery the public cultural service such as in-sufficient supplement,disconnect between supply and demand in grass-roots public cultural services , those problems have reveal the basic needs of cultural service among the masses can not be fulfill ef-fectively. By linking the“Hot” of square dancing to the“cold” of current public cultural activities ser-vices,this studies arguing that the reasons of contrast between Square dance and public cultural services is fundamentally supply modes. Based on the phenomenon of“hot” square dance,this studies try to an-alyze the internal mechanism of square dance,explored the dynamic mechanism of development of square dance,clarify the generated logic of supply modes of Square dancing. By the experience and en-lightenment learn from square dance,we can discuss the grass-roots supply mode of public cultural ser-vices afterwards.%广场舞是在群众中自发生长起来的群众性文化活动，深受中老年妇女的喜爱，成为目前参与人数最多的群众文化活动，中国正在经历一场广场舞盛宴。而基层公共文化服务中存在供给不足、供需脱节等问题，导致群众的基本文化需求不能得到有效满足。由广场舞“热”联系到当前公共文化服务活动遇“冷”的遭遇，本文认为，广场舞与公共文化服务相比较而言，二者境遇相反的缘由在于供给模式上的根本差异，本文基于广场舞“热”现象，分析广场舞流行的内在机理，试图厘清广场舞供给模式的生成逻辑，探究其发展的动力机制。同时，探讨我国当前公共文化服务的供给模式及其缺陷，通过对比分析，获得对公共文化服务发展的经验借鉴及启示。
