Two inversion-related Cu2+ ins are bridged by bis μ-chloro ligands, forming a centrosymmetric dimeric unit, interdimeric contacts leading to a chainlike arrangement which run parallel to the a-axis direction. The infinite chains are further linked by C-H…Cl hydrogen bonds to give rise to a (001) sheet.
