The new type of water-soluble phosphine with the involvement or the trivalent rare earth ion,TPPTS·Ln (Ln=Eu, Dy, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu; and TPPTS= tris (m-sulfonatophenyl ) pbosphine ), were synthesized rrom the precursor TPPTS.
