现代化的图书馆，从其服务方式的发展方向来看，我国一直以拓展服务范围、方便读者的文献资源查询为着重点，国外图书馆则以保障读者信息以及知识获取的公平性和实用性作为服务重点。文章主要以美国图书馆为实例，通过与我国图书馆在服务工作上的对比来分析图书馆为读者提供优质服务过程中实用性与公平性的关系。%Having an over view of the development trend of modern library service, we can find that in domestic libraries, we have been using high technology to make it easier for readers to do document resource researching, and mainly focus on expanding service scope. In foreign libraries, they have been taking usability, ensuring equality of access to information and knowledge as their professional value orientation of library service. This article takes American libraries as an example, comparing their service with domestic libraries, to analysis the relationship of practicability and equality act in high quality library service.
