Over the past 50 years nearly, global climate problems have been increasingly serious, over which a number of eco-oriented authors from Europe and America show great concern over. Hamish MacDonald, who was born in Canada and lives in Scotland permanently, is no exception. MacDonald's novel Finitude denounces current social problems and looks to the future, and explores the possibility that human beings encounter climate crisis and even disasters someday in the future.
