泰州学派男女平等思想简析

摘要

泰州学派是中国明代一个较有影响的平民哲学学派，其主张男女平等的思想具有重要意义。他们从良知天然的理论出发，认为人性本自然，在人性问题上男女平等。同时，男女的智力也是相当的，没有什么区别，有时或在某些方面，女人甚至超过男人。此外，他们还认为，男人与女人发挥的社会作用是一样的，所以男女应有共同的社会地位，享有均等的社会权利。尤其值得注意的是，他们倡导妇女婚姻自由，反对束缚妇女。%Taizhou School was an influential civilian philosophical school in Ming dynasty.Among thoughts of this school,equality between men and women was of great significance.Starting from the theory of natural conscience,they claimed that human beings should follow nature,and that man and woman are equal by na-ture.At the same time,they argued that men and women were equal in intelligence,neither was superior to the other.In some cases,women were better than men.In addition,they also believed that since men and women played equal role in society,they should have equal social status and enjoy equal social rights.What merits special attention is that they advocated women’s freedom in marriage.
