Kawasaki disease(KD)is a febrile disease with unclear pathogenesis. Thus far,KD has been considered to be trig-gered,at least in part,by an infection[1].In 2020,corona-virus disease 2019(COVID-19)became a global pandemic and lifestyles changed drastically.Consequently, the preva-lence of common infection has decreased significantly. This epidemiological change prompted us to postulate that major variations of common pediatric infections would affect the incidence of KD.
