Though the technology of microcomputer-based relaying is becoming ma-ture and the types are diverse, the theories of protective relaying bear no essential differences and the relaying could not get rid of accidents which are caused by inappropriate design, installment, inspection and maintaining. Therefore, adopting appropriate testing methods is an important way to improve the re-liability and reduce the ratio of accidents.
