The automotive front axle roll forging die works in severe conditions and its stress state is more complex. Based on the consideration of materials selection, structural design, manufacturing process, heat treatment procedure as well as the installation and maintenance of the mould, the analysis of the causes of the automotive front axle roll forging die＇s main failure forms （fracture, wear, deformation, and so on） is introduced, and the improvement measures and restoration methods are proposed correspondingly.%从材料的选择、结构设计、制造工艺、热处理工艺以及模具的安装维护等方面分析汽车前轴辊锻模的主要失效形式（断裂、磨损、变形等）产生的原因，并提出相应的改进措施和修复方法。
