摘要

According to the ancient traditional Chinese medical books and modern medical theory, the basic pathogenesis of the active stage of ulcerative colitis is that qi stagnation and blood stasis caused by dampness-heat retaining in colon causes leads to blood and meat putridity, and which results in the ulcer finally. The basic therapeutic methods are clearing heat and resolve dampness from the colon, regulating qi and blood circulation, dispelling putridity and promoting tissue regeneration to heal the ulcer.
