Disparity of stereo image pairs forms the basis of stereoscopic display, and the basic principle of binocular stel~eoscopic display is that the left and right images in stereo pairs with disparity are sent to the left eye and right eye respectively, resulting in a stereo sense. This paper presents a method to compute the disparity of stereo pairs in a vil~ual scene using ray tracing, by which disparity maps and depth maps are created.
