Water is the important resources for the survival of human beings,and the indispensable part of people's life. Water culture develops through the human activities that take water as the carrier. Water culture awareness is the social awareness concerning the local water culture and the awareness and awakening of the advanced water cul-ture. The water culture consciousness is significant to the construction of Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone. Not only does it promote the innovation of the economic form of ecological economic zone through cultural innova-tion ,lead the basic political orientation of ecological economic zone through emphasizing harmony between human and nature,but also has vital value for the construction of spiritual and cultural environment in ecological economic zone and rational planning of ecological economic zone.%水是人类赖以生存的重要资源,是人们生活中不可或缺的组成部分.而水文化是人们在以水为载体的活动中形成的.水文化自觉则是社会大众对本土水文化的自知之明以及对先进水文化的觉悟和觉醒.水文化自觉对鄱阳湖生态经济区建设意义重大,它不仅通过文化创新推动生态经济区经济形态的创新,通过人与自然的和谐引领生态经济区的基本政治导向,而且对于生态经济区精神文化环境的营造以及生态经济区的合理规划也有着重要价值.
