历史上广西和云南有不少人移居到邻近的越南、老挝等东南亚邻国。1949年以后，东南亚国家发生了三次比较大规模的“排华”事件，共有数十万华侨被迫回到中国，其中有20多万归侨被安置在广西、云南。目前，广西、云南共有近200万归侨侨眷，他们主要集中居住在58个安置归侨的农林场，少部分散居在农村。%In the history of Guangxi and Yunnan province, many people moved to neighboring Vietnam, Laos, southeast Asia neighbors.
