利用2002～2013年统计资料，以云南为例进行相关研究，研究表明：1.城镇化和经济发展间存在复杂多变的耦合关系；2.政府政策对于地区经济社会发展具有重要的引导作用；3.其协调度空间分布差异显著。对此，发展较好的地区中心城市，应注重培育区域经济增长极；城镇化水平限制经济发展的地区，应消除限制因素，发展特色小城镇；经济发展与城镇化水平均较低的地区，应发展特色产业和特色小城镇，以此推动城镇化进程。%Based on the data of Statistical Yearbook ofYunnan Province in 2002-2013 and the case of Yunnan Province,the results of the studies show that:(1 )there is a complex and coupling relationship between urbanization and economic-development;(2 )the government′s policy has an important guiding role to the regional economic and social development;(3 )there is the significant differ-ence in the spatial distribution of the coordination degree.Therefore,the government should continue to pay attention to cultivating the regional economic growing pole for the regional central cities with better development;the limiting factors should be eliminated and distinctive towns should be established for the areas where economic development is limited by the urbanization level;the distinctive industries and small towns should be developed to push the process of urbanization for the areas with low level of economic develop-ment and urbanization.
