Human beings are the accumulation of social relations ,w hich determines that the character of a per-son is not only a reflection of a single social content .In Bai Lu Yuan ,the character Bai Jiaxuan shares a double per-sonality ,which reflects his holiness and philistine .It also shows the features of certain history under the agricultural background .%人既然是社会关系的总和，那么人的性格世界就不可能仅仅是某一社会内容的反映。在《白鹿原》中，白嘉轩既有仁义的一面，也有与社会道德相悖离的一面；人格的双面性，反映了他神圣和庸俗的双重性，也反映了历史在一定时期农业文化背景下的特定形态。
