率失真优化在H.264预测编码模式选择中的应用

摘要

The rate-distortion theory was introduced in the paper,under the average distortion D,the R-D cost was computed by building the Lagrangian cost function.In the intra and inter mode selection of the H.264 video coding,the rate-distortion optimization method was used to select the optimal prediction mode which was defined by the mode of the least R-D cost.By H.264/AVC reference software JM12.4,the performance of video coding was analyzed by comparing the PSNR、bitrate and coding time when rate distortion optimization method was used and unused.%文章论述信息率失真理论,在平均失真度D约束下,通过构造拉格郎日代价函数求解率失真R-D代价值.在H.264帧内、间预测编码模式选择中,采用率失真优化方法,选择率失真R-D代价值最小的模式为最优预测编码模式.通过H.264/AVC参考软件JM12.4,从峰值信噪比PSNR、码率bitrate和编码时间time 3方面分析预测模式选择中使用和未使用率失真优化方法对视频序列编码性能的影响.
