Objective To observe the influence of Guilingji Capsules on spermatogenesis and sexual hormones in rats with oligospermatism caused by cottonseed oil. Methods We used cottonseed oil to induce oligospermatism in rats. With Wuzi Yanzong Pills (in the dosage of 1 g ? Kg"1 ? D"1 ) as the control, we observed the effect of Guilingji Capsules (in the dosage of 54 mg ? Kg"' ? D "' ) on the density and amount of sperms, and on the serum levels of sexual hormones of testosterone ( T) , luteinizing hormone ( LH ) , follicle-stimulating hormone ( FSH ) which were detected by radioimmunoassay. Results The amount and density of sperms were higher, and serum levels of LH and FSH were lower in Guilingji Capsules group than those in the model group ( P < 0. 05 ) , and the differences were insignificant between Guilingji Capsules group and Wuzi Yanzong Pills group (P > 0. 05 ). Guilingji Capsules had no effect on serum T level, but Wuzi Yanzong Pills group had a higher T level than that in the model group ( P < 0. 05 ). Conclusion Guilingji Capsules can promote the spermatogenesis of oligospermatism rats by increasing the density and amount of sperms, and its therapeutic mechanism is probably related with the increase of serum FSH and LH levels.%[目的]观察龟龄集胶囊对棉子油所致少精症模型大鼠的生精作用及其对性激素水平的影响.[方法]以灌服棉子油法复制少精症大鼠模型,以五子衍宗丸(剂量为1 g·kg-1·d-1)为对照,观察龟龄集(剂量为54 mg·kg-1·d-1)对少精症模型大鼠的精子数量和密度的影响,采用放射免疫法测定血清性激素睾酮(T)、促黄体生成激素(LH)、促卵泡生长激素(FSH)的含量.[结果]龟龄集组能显著提高少精症大鼠的精子数目和密度(均P＜0.05),与传统的五子衍宗丸比较无显著性差异(P＞0.05),能降低LH含量和提高FSH含量,与模型组比较有显著性差异(均P＜0.05),其作用与五子衍宗丸相类似.龟龄集组对T水平无显著影响,与五子衍宗丸组比较有显著性差异(P＜0.05),与模型组比较无显著性差异(P＞0.05).[结论]龟龄集能够显著提高精子数量和密度,其作用机理可能是通过负反馈抑制作用而增加垂体FSH分泌和降低LH分泌,从而达到促进生殖细胞分化成熟精子的作用.
