一个基于图像的虚拟现实系统

     

摘要

简要介绍了基于图像绘制技术的特点及理论基础,重点阐述基于柱面全景图的方法,并在此基础上实现了一个虚拟现实系统。用这个方法,解决了全景图自动生成工具、场景的实时显示算法及全景图浏览器设计的技术问题。%In this paper, the characteristics and theoretical basis of image-based rendering technology are introduced briefly, and the method of cylinder panorama is emphasized on. As a result, we have implemented an application system. It has the following functions: a tool of establishing a cylinder panorama which can build a panorama map automatically, adopting a unique algorithm to speed up the cylinder inverse transformation in order to reach the required real-time performance of the virtual reality system, and implementing a panorama browser with network function using the combined method of ACTIVE X control and INTERNET browser. Because of these fast algorithms, the system can operates in real-time and can meet application demand.
