As an important part of the culture, literature is s reflection of human lives, thoughts, motions, interpersonal relations and so on, which covers abundant cultural contents. Literature seeks opportunities and challenges for itself in a general background of culture, showcasing its own value and significance in cultural changes. The culture is nourished and filtered in the development of literature, and is represented and reflected in literary creation. This relationship has developed a multi-dimensional cultural value of the contemporary Chinese literature. Firstly, this paper discusses the diachronic development and synchronic character of the contemporary culture from the perspective of the literature. Secondly, it finds out the differ-ent literary selection and value orientation from the basic form of contemporary literature. Finally, it probes the hidden cultural value among the relationships of contemporary literature and traditional culture, and the western culture and contemporary culture.% 作为文化重要组成部分的文学，是对人类生活、思想、情感、人际关系等方面的反映，涵盖了丰富的文化内容。文学在文化这一大背景中寻找自己的机遇与挑战，更努力在文化的变迁中体现自身的价值与意义。文化在文学的发展中得以滋养和积淀，更在文学的创作中得以表述和体现。这种相互的作用关系，就使中国当代文学具有了多维的文化价值。首先，从文学的视角看当代文化的历时性发展和共时性格局；其次，从当代文学的基本形态看在不同文化背景下的文学选择及价值取向；最后，在当代文学与传统文化、西方文化和当代文化的关系中，探讨其隐藏的文化价值。
