Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of escitalopram combined with mental intervention in senile depression patients .Methods Eighty-three senile depression patients were randomly assigned to two groups ,both groups took orally escitalopram and research group was plus mental intervention for 6 weeks .Efficacies were assessed with the Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) before and after treatment and adverse reactions with the Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale (TESS) .Results At the end of the 6th week obvious effective rate was significantly higher in research than control group (85 .7% vs .65 .9% ,χ2 =4 .47 ,P<0 .05);after treatment adverse reactions of both groups were mild ,their incidences had no significant group differences (P>0 .05) .Conclusion Escitalopram combined with mental intervention has an evident effect ,higher safety and better compliance ,takes effect more rapidly compared with single es-citalopram in senile depression patients .%目的：探讨艾司西酞普兰联合心理干预治疗老年抑郁症患者的临床疗效和安全性。方法将83例老年抑郁症患者随机分为两组，两组均口服艾司西酞普兰治疗，研究组联合心理干预，观察6周。治疗前后采用汉密顿抑郁量表评定临床疗效，副反应量表评定不良反应。结果治疗6周末，研究组显效率为85．7％，对照组为65．9％，研究组显著高于对照组（χ2＝4．47，P＜0．05）；治疗后两组不良反应较轻微，发生率比较差异无显著性（P＞0．05）。结论艾司西酞普兰联合心理干预治疗老年抑郁症疗效显著，起效快，安全性高，依从性好，优于单用艾司西酞普兰治疗。
