The sacrificial rite has brought benefits to Jinuo people. On the one hand, it is a way of expressing their hope and best wishes for a good harvest. On the other hand, it helps people arrange and adjust their pace of life. Besides, it is an important process during which people are socialized. Generally, the rite has the following functions： Firstly, it is an important way for the Jinuo people to show world view and values and find their identity in the forest ecosystem. Secondly, it promotes the traditional agriculture knowledge heritage, strengthens the group identity and maintains the social existence and development. However, with development of society, great changes have happened to the Jinuo＇ s argriculture and their sacrificial rites.
