The Bayesian estimation is derived through statistical analysis and it is shown to be equivalent to the maximization of the a Posteriori Probability. A modified approach to combine the Bayesian estimation and the hard gating is proposed. Simulation results demonstrate that it improves the estimation accuracy and keeps low computational complexity.
