The state-of-art of the isotopic analysis technique in the laser resonance ionization mass spectrometry (LRIMS) in northwest institute of nuclear technology was founded. Main technique obstacles and feasible resolvents with the application of 1,RIMS in isotopic analysis were discussed. In order to obtain accurate isotope ratio determined by LRIMS, the new method combined with experimental process and correction factor calculated by numerical computation method was proposed and applied to measure lutetium isotope ratio. The natural lutetium isotope ratio determined by use of this method was less than 0.8% by thermal ionization mass spectrometry (TIMS), This method can also be applied to determine abundance ratios of some other elements.
