In order to ensure the smooth running of programs, low polygon models are usually applied to three - di- mensional games, virtual reality and other interactive 3D environments. This paper describes the classification of three - dimensional models, discusses the method of creating low polygon models in 3ds Max and introduces several commonly used methods to optimize the face number of models.
