The paper presents a new intelligent metal detector. First, some problems needed to be solved in traditional detectors are put forward. Then solutions to the problems are given theoretically and experimentally, and a scheme of new intelligent detector is described, witch is able to eliminate magnetic effect on detecting and shield some field interference, and then the design of hardware and software is described.
