The case studies on Yaozhuang and Chongfu Town of Jiaxing City showed that: the integration of urban and rural areas is the goal of their coordinated advancement of urbanization and new rural construction, and key towns play the role of critical nodes and carriers for regional urbanization and new rural construction, and the specific path of urbanization and new rural construction is simultaneously promotion of industrialization, urbanization and agricultural modernization. Also, the government could promote coordination of urbanization and new rural construction by regulating elements like land, funds, human resources and so on.
