Under the background of General Secretary Xi Jinping's "cultural self-confidence" at the 18th National Congress, excellent traditional culture has become the comerstone of the whole society's cultural construction. It is not only the essence of Chinese culture, but also a self-cultivation guide for the Chinese nation. Based on the intrinsic relationship between excellent traditional culture and Shanghai citizens self-cultivation actions, combined with the problems existing in the docking, this paper proposes to systematically construct the docking mechanism between excellent traditional culture and Shanghai citizens' self-cultivation actions from the six levels of schools, institutions, rural areas, communities, enterprises and families.
