this paper provides an introduction on history, present outlook and future development trend of locomotive diesel engine emission control, summarizes the diesel engine, emission component, formation mechanism and control policy, analyzes the significance of diesel engine emission control in China and proposes the future developing direction and major measures.%介绍机车柴油机排放控制的历史、现状和未来发展趋势，概述机车柴油机排放物组分、生成机理及控制措施，阐述我国开展机车柴油机排放控制的重要性，提出我国机车柴油机排放控制的发展方向和主要措施。
