Objective: To analyze the characteristics of treatment methods of selecting , syndrome differentia-tion, herbal administration rules , meridian and acupoints selection , and period of treatment in the clinical re-search literature of peripheral facial paralysis from 1990 s.Then analyze the general trend and inadequate as-pects.Methods:Calculate the literature frequencies of treatment methods of selecting , syndrome differentia-tion, herbal administration rules , meridian and acupoints selecting and period of treatment .Results:Chinese herbal medicine , acupuncture including electure -acupuncture , and Chinese -western combined with medi-cine took a large proportion .The main pathogen of acute peripheral facial paralysis was wind -evil, which could be divided into cold -wind and hot -wind, and the former was the most common style .The most fre-quently used acupoints were Yingxiang , Heliao, Hegu of the large intestine channel of Hand -Yangming;Yangbai of the Gall Bladder channel of Foot -Shaoyang;Cuanzhu of the bladder meridian of Foot -Taiyang;Sizhukong , Yifeng of the triple energizer meridian of Hand -Shaoyang;Quanliao of the small intestine meridi-an of Hand-Taiyang;Xiaguan , Jiache , Dicang of the stomach channel of Foot -Yangming;Taichong of the Liver channel of Foot -Jueyin; Yuyao, TaiYang, Qianzheng of extra points .Treatment frequency was once per day or two days per time in 99 .46% studies , and 78 .49% research showed that patients recovered in 30~45 days of peripheral facial paralysis .Conclusion:The characteristics in the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis by Chinese medicine are the combined use of herbal medicine , acupuncture and moxibustion and cupping .The syndrome differentiation should be cold -wind and hot -wind at the acute stage , and insuffi-ciency of vital energy and blood at the chronic stage .The typical prescription is the basis of herbal medicine treatment and Qian-zheng-san is the most commonly used one .The most frequently used acupoints are on the channel of the triple energizer meridian of hand -Shaoyang , the large intestine channel of Hand -Yang-ming and the stomach channel of Foot -Yangming .The recommended treatment frequency should be once per day or two days per time , and the peripheral facial paralysis patients will recover in 30~45 days.%目的：分析90年代至今的周围性面瘫中医药治疗的方法选择、辨证论治、遣方用药、经络腧穴运用、治疗时程的特点，总结其总体趋势和不足。方法：回顾1991年6月～2012年12月之间采用中医药方法治疗周围性面瘫的临床文献，计算各种治疗方法、中医辨证、经方运用、经络腧穴、治疗时程选择的文献频数，统计分析其总体趋势。结果：中药内服、针灸（包括电针）及与西药同用的中西医结合治疗占的比重较大；急性期面瘫仍以风邪为主要病因，并分为风寒和风热，其中风寒略多于风热；针灸治疗使用频率较高的穴位分别为手阳明大肠经迎香、禾髎、合谷；足少阳胆经阳白；足太阳膀胱经攒竹；手少阳三焦经丝竹空、翳风；手太阳小肠经颧髎；足阳明胃经下关、颊车、地仓；足厥阴肝经太冲；经外奇穴鱼腰、太阳、牵正。99．46％文献报道中针灸治疗频率为每日1次或隔日1次，78．49％的文献报道该病在30～45天痊愈。结论：周围性面瘫的中医药治疗呈现以中西药物内服、针灸火罐并举的特点，该病的辨证在急性期以风寒和风热外袭为主，慢性期以气血不足为主；方药的选用以经方为主，其中牵正散是最主要的方剂；针灸所用经络以面部手少阳三焦经、手阳明大肠经、足阳明胃的穴位为主。针灸治疗频率以每日1次或隔日1次为宜，该病大多数在30～45天可以痊愈。
