HDR图像压缩算法比较研究

         

摘要

高动态范围图像是航空遥感、虚拟现实、医疗图像、跨媒体出版领域中极其重要和广泛应用的一种方法,但所表现的广阔动态范围受到显示和输出处理位数的限制,致使在常规设备上显示和输出HDR图像必须进行原阶调范围的压缩.如何保证阶调压缩后的HDR图像再现效果最佳是目前HDR图像显示的关键技术.本文在分析目前6种代表性高动态范围图像阶调压缩算法机理的基础上,通过对各种算法对HDR图像压缩后再现效果影响的理论分析及实验,采用主观和客观两种评价方法比较了这6种HDR图像压缩算法的优劣.实验结果表明,基于iCAM06图像色貌模型的压缩算法在HDR图像的阶调压缩及再现方面具有明显的优势.%High Dynamic Range (HDR) images are very important method and have been widely used in many areas such as remote sensing, virtual reality, medical images, and cross-media publishing. But the restriction of treatment capability of display and output make it necessary to compress original HDR image before which are outputted in the conventional display and output device. So how to ensure that the best performance of HDR image reproduction is one of the key technologies of HDR image displays. This paper analyzes the mechanism of six high dynamic range image tone compression algorithms which are representative at present. The effect of the HDR image compression algorithms are analyzed and implemented. Then the 6 HDR image compression algorithms are compared by compression test through the subjective and objective evaluation methods. Research results show: compared to other algorithms, image color appearance model based on iCAM06 compression algorithm in HDR image tone compression and reproduce has obvious advantages.
