The paper introduces safety devices used on the huge portal crane, including anemometer, safety mechanism , optical fiber grating stress monitoring system, CCTV, low-speed shaft brake, rail hook device, rail clamping device, windproof cable, slewing anchor, walking anchor, and bumper, etc. , with description of the principle and performance of these safety devices.
