Underdeveloped areas' urbanization are the main task of economic and social development,and the realization of the goal of regional comprehensive well-off depend on urbanization's process and quality.In the new situation,the urbanization's effect,dynamic mechanism,goal orientation,space form,development concept are all changing,underdeveloped regions responsive to the transition needs,which should pay more attention to the planning guide,breed main body,aggrandizement innovation drive,support more growth nodes,regional coordination as the countermeasures.The goal of these countermeasures is to realize the urbanization's quantity and quality of synchronization upgrading to promote the coordinated development of new type of industrialization,urbanization and agricultural modernization.%城镇化作为欠发达地区经济社会发展的主要任务与依托,其进程和质量直接决定了该区域全面建成小康目标的实现.运用区域经济学相关理论,从城镇化的作用、动力机制、目标导向、空间形态、发展理念等方面剖析城镇化的转型趋势,提出西部地区应顺应转型需要,注重规划引导、培育主体形态、强化创新驱动、壮大多极节点和统筹区域协调作用,为西部地区实现科学发展、全面建成小康社会,实现城镇化数量与质量协调发展提供参考.
