During the ＂12^th five -year- plan＂ period, transport development within the pearl river delta region will present many new changes and characteristics, enough attention shall be paid to the establishment of related plans and policies. This paper briefly analyzes the development environment and requirements, main trends and characteristics of transport within the Pearl River Delta in 12^th five - year - plan period.%“十二五”期间，珠江三角洲地区交通发展将会呈现出许多新的变化和特点，在制定有关规划和发展政策时应给予足够的关注。分析了珠江三角洲地区“十二五”期间交通发展环境、发展要求、主要趋势和特点。
