The motivation to develop eco-tourism in Qingyuan has been studied from the following aspects; urbanization and deterioration of ecological environment determined the peoples demand for eco-tourism ; increased leisure time and disposable income; all levels of government attaches great importance to develop eco-tourism; Qingyuan has a material basis for eco-tourism development.
