The environmental air quality assessment methods now widely applied played a positive role to the decision of environment management and promoted the environmental air quality improvement. But with the growing of regional and combined pollution, the limitations of the current evaluation method highlighted. This article elaborated the status quo of air environment quality assessment method in China, and proposed some improvement suggestions. In order to explain the present situation of environmental air quality, trends and its possible risks better, national standards such as Environmental Specifications for Air Quality Assessment Technology should be enacted in environmental air quality assessment field, and evaluation projects should be increased at the right moment. It is necessary to combine the short-term and long-term evaluation, to combine the comprehensive pollution index and maximum contamination index, to increase the regional pollution evaluation, and to expand the evaluation scope, so as to serve the decision of environment management and the public better.%我国目前业务上广泛应用的环境空气质量评价方法对环境管理决策起到了积极的作用,促进了环境空气质量的改善.但随着大气区域性、复合型污染的出现,现行评价技术方法的局限性凸显出来.阐述了我国环境空气质量评价方法的现状,并对现行方法提出了改进建议.为更好地说清环境空气质量现状、变化趋势及存在可能的风险,环境空气质量评价应颁布《环境空气质量评价技术规范》国家标准,适时增加评价项目,将短期与长期评价相结合、综合污染指数与最大污染指数相结合,并增加对区域污染的评价、扩大评价范围,更好地环境管理决策和社会公众服务.
